Heck! there are lots of delicious temptations all around us! The difficulty lies in shedding the unwanted pounds and keeping them off for good.

Obesity treatments have two objectives:
1. To achieve a healthy weight.
2. To maintain that healthy weight.
Obese individuals, are often discouraged, thinking they have to lose a lot of weight before any health benefits are experienced. This is not true.
Any obese person who loses just five to ten per cent of body weight will have significant improvement in health -. Mathematically, this would mean a loss of between 12-25 pounds for an obese person who weighs 250 pounds.

Weight loss gurus, have discovered that, obese people who lose weight slowly and constantly, say one or two pounds each week, are more successful in keeping their weight down when they have reached their target weight.
Above all, Successful and permanent weight loss is best achieved by ; increased physical activity, changing how and when you eat. Lifestyle, and modifying your eating behavior is also important . Some patients may be prescribed medication, while others might undergo weight-loss surgery.
